wet overflow  ball mill
The ball mill is the key equipment for crushing the materials after they have been crushed. Ball mills are widely used in cement, silicate products, new building materials, refractory materials, fertilizers, ferrous and non-ferrous metal mineral processing, glass and ceramics and other production industries for dry or wet grinding of various ores and other grindable materials. The main applicable materials include quartz stone, gold ore, iron ore, cement clinker, etc.


Types:
Based on its usage and structural characteristics, the ball mill can be divided into several types, including:
Dry Ball Mill: Suitable for grinding dry materials.
Wet Ball Mill: Suitable for grinding processes that require the addition of water or other liquids.
Overflow Ball Mill: Materials are discharged through the overflow port at the bottom of the cylinder.
Grate Ball Mill: Materials are discharged through the grate plate at the bottom of the cylinder.
Tube Ball Mill: The cylinder is tube-shaped, suitable for long-distance material transportation.

Ball mills are widely used in mining, building materials, chemicals, metallurgy, electricity, and many other industries for grinding various hardness materials and other substances.

Ore processing plant is also called beneficiation plant. It is a kind of production line of selecting kinds of mineral ores.

The general process is : crush big mineral stone into small size (0-20mm) , grinding these small stone into powder (or slurry) , then separate the useful ore from the powder (slurry).


There mainly have four kinds of separation method :

Flotation separation 

Froth flotation is a process for selectively separating hydrophobic materials from hydrophilic. 

The development of froth flotation has improved the recovery of valuable minerals, such as copper- and lead-bearing minerals..
It has been described as "the single most important operation used for the recovery and upgrading of sulfide ores".

Gravity separation 

Gravity separation is an industrial method of separating two components, either a suspension, or dry granular mixture where separating the components with gravity is sufficiently practical: i.e. the components of the mixture have different specific weight.

It suitable for Alluvial gold ,lead , chromium ect.

Leaching separation 

Leaching is the process of extracting substances from a solid by dissolving them in a liquid.

The leaching of precious metals such as gold can be carried out with cyanide or ozone under mild conditions.

Leaching method suitable for Oxidized ore.


 

Magnetic separation 

Magnetic Separation is which separating components of mixtures by using magnets to attract magnetically susceptible materials.

It suitable for iron , Manganese ore ect.

Ball mill 

Ball mill is the key milling equipment after material has been crushed.

It used to grinding 0-20mm ore stone into powder (dry grinding ) or slurry ( wet grinding ) , after grinding , the ore size is around 120 mesh.

Ball mill application:
Ball mill is the key equipment for recrushing the materials after they are primarily crushed. It is an efficient tool for grinding various materials into powder. There are two ways of grinding: the dry process and the wet process. It can be divided into tabular type and flowing type according to different forms of discharging material. Ball mill is widely used in metallurgy, mining, chemical, cement, construction, industrial and mining industries etc.

Ball Mill Working Principle:
The ball mill is a horizontal rotating device transmitted by the outer gear. The materials are transferred to the grinding chamber through the quill shaft uniformly. There are ladder liner and ripple liner and different specifications of steel balls in the chamber. The centrifugal force caused by rotation of barrel brings the steel balls to a certain height and impact and grind the materials. The grinding materials are discharged through the discharging board thus the grinding process is finished.

Ball Mill Structure:
The machine is composed of feeding part, discharging part, turning part and driving part (reducer, small driving gear, electric motor and electric control). The quill shaft adopts cast steel part and the liner is detachable. The turning gearwheel adopts casting hobbing process and the drum is equipped with wear-resistant liner, which has good wear-resistance. The machine is with stable and reliable working condition. Moreover, according to different materials and discharging methods, there are dry ball mills and wet ball mills for choice. 


Ball mill features: 
1. The machine is made up of feeding part, discharging part, gyre part, transmission part (reducer, small transmission gear, motor, and electrical controller) and so on.
2. The hollow axis adopts the cast steel and the lining can be replaced. The big rotary gear is forged from cast rolling gears. 
3. The barrel body is inlaid with wearable plates.
4. The machine runs steadily and efficiently.

How to maintain overflow ball mill?

(1) Bearings suffer all burden of machinery, and good lubrication affect the service life of bearings, so the lubrication must be clean and sealed well, the main oiling places 1) Rolling bearings, 2) Roll bearings, 3) All gears, 4) Movable bearings and sliding plane.

You can do it from the following three aspects. Its important to check if the large and small gear transmitted steady or not. And you should adjust the clearance timely when necessary. Making sure that there is no abnormal fluctuations happened with motor current and each connection is firmly screwed together.Thirdly, replacing the loss components. The impact force of the ball mill produced in the process of grinding not only can grind ore material, but also cause great wear and tear to the mill themselves. In the process of using ball mill, it is necessary to replace worn parts in time to avoid reducing the efficiency of ball mill or bringing damages to the other parts.In addition to the routinely minor repair and maintenance, in order to detect hidden defects and abnormalities, you also need to stop grinding regularly. our. engineers also suggest doing that each month for one time, especially for the important components such as hollow shaft, main bearing, cylinder, reducer, the size of the gear. They also suggest making detail records, and the records may provide the basis for a variety of conditions that may occur in the future.
